Air Ride SKW1019 - Air Ride Technologies ShockWave Lowering Systems

Air Ride SKW1019 - Air Ride Technologies ShockWave Lowering Systems

Air Ride ShockWave Lowering Systems are state-of-the-art airspring/shock combinations.
With the airspring around the shock absorber, a relocated shock is unnecessary. This also simplifies mounting, eliminates tire clearance issues, and maintains effective shock angle. ShockWaves use a billet QA1 racing shock with a
12-position valving adjustment to fine tune for ultimate ride quality.

Many customers want a comfortable-riding air suspension only for the rear of a vehicle. The front may ride fine as is, or it may be
a traditional straight axle inappropriate for air suspension.
The ShockWave 7000 and 9000 accommodate such situations while ShockWave v3.0 is typically used on independent front suspensions.

  ShockWave 7000

  • 4" diameter, load capacity of 780lbs @ 100 psi
  • Designed for lighter weight vehicles and confined installation spaces
  • Recommended for solid rear axle installations on vehicles weighing 1500lbs or less on rear axle
    (T-Buckets, Model "A"s, 1933-34 roadsters/coupes, and most early pickups)
  • Can also supplement rear leafspring suspension
  • NOT recommended for IFS or IRS installations (not enough load capacity)

    ShockWave 9000
  • 5" diameter, load capacity of 1200lbs @ 100 psi
  • Recommended for solid rear axle installations where rear vehicle weight is 1500-2400lbs and
IRS installations on vehicles weighing 1500lbs or less per axle
  • NOT recommended for IFS installations (not enough load capacity)
  • Tapered sleeve airspring bellows for softer spring rate, more travel, and lower load capacity

    ShockWave v3.0
  • Latest refinement of the original ShockWave
  • Recommended for IFS and/or IRS installations on vehicles weighing 1500-2500lbs per axle
  • NOT recommended for soild axle rear applications (not enough travel, too much load capacity)
  • Double convoluted airspring bellows to achieve load capability
  • Dual-adjustment shock valving so compression and rebound can be adjusted separately
  • Airspring endplates are 1" smaller to increase framerail clearance on many aftermarket IFS
  • Endplates and bead rings are internally screwed together to eliminate fasteners previously used
